Community Rakes and Shovels service now available

At a CCC meeting a few months ago, we were brainstorming community-wide initiatives that we could encourage everyone in Cache Valley to support. It soon came up that there is a pressing need for community members who are senior citizens or who live with disabilities to get connected to snow shoveling services.

We’ve officially launched a partnership between CCC and the USU Val R. Christensen Service Center to coordinate volunteers who can rake leaves and shovel snow for Cache Valley community members who request either service. All information can be found on this page: https://www.usu.edu/servicecenter/rakes_and_shovels. Both forms are on secure platforms.

In addition to instructions regarding COVID-19 precautionary measures, volunteers can find a registration form to offer their services and residents can find a service request form. We encourage everyone to keep this as much of a contactless service as possible, using the phone if contact is needed.

Questions can be directed to Nelda in the Service Center at 435-797-1740 or nelda.ault@usu.edu.
