The mission of Cache Community Connections (CCC) is to bring faith and civic leaders and members of the community together to build understanding, facilitate respect, and establish partnerships that make a tangible difference to life in Cache Valley.
The CCC came together following an interfaith and community gathering in the wake of September 11, 2001. Representatives from several of the churches and the then-Mayor of Logan, Doug Thompson, mourned and honored those whose lives were cut short by this tragedy.
This group of leaders was soon joined by other community leaders. They have seen misconceptions of others’ faiths, due to misinformation, be corrected; barriers due to religious bigotry or indifference have come down; and community service organizations can now get awareness of their messages and services out to broad numbers of community citizens through CCC. The organization now holds events to provide opportunities to work shoulder-to-shoulder in meeting needs within the community.
Logan Tabernacle Interfaith Events are planned by a committee of the CCC. This forum showcases local and regional talent, providing world class performances. Monthly programs are held free to the general public.
Monthly Meetings
The CCC meets at noon on the third Wednesday of every month. Any community member is welcome to attend. We are currently meeting in person at St. John’s Episcopal Church, with a Zoom option. Contact [email protected] to access the link for the next meeting, or come in person to St. John’s.
